For us at Peace, Christian education is more than just Sunday School.
At Peace UCC, Christian education is more than just Sunday School, which we have each week for everyone from infants to senior citizens.
As part of our education ministry, we sponsor book study groups focusing on current biblical, theological, and social issues. These discussion groups provide a time of supportive learning and fellowship as we seek a greater understanding of the focus-book theme and how it relates to our personal and corporate faith journeys.
In the summer months, “Peace Village” has been a major program of Peace Church. Peace Village seeks to provide programming for both children and adults, including a meal and activities which include music, crafts and a biblical story theme each day on the Christian call to peace, love, and understanding.
The Christian Education budget also includes funds for a limited number of scholarships for summer UCC church camp at Johns River Camp in Western North Carolina.
